Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa
has requested President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil
Wickramasinghe to assign him as an officer in the personal security unit of his
father.
State Minister for Defence Ruwan Wijewardene says that an
investigation is already being conducted by the Navy commander regarding
Yoshitha’s conduct.
However, a final decision has not been made on Yoshitha’s
request to join his father’s personal security staff.
