Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya today permitted the CID to obtain a report from the Judicial Medical officer on the health condition of Shashi Weerawansa, who was earlier arrested on charges of obtaining a diplomatic passport by producing fraudulent documents.
The CID, in a motion filed in Court sought permission to obtain a medical report on former minister Wimal Weerawansa’s wife Sashi who had admitted herself to a private hospital in Malabe. She was taken into custody last evening around 7.00 pm when she left the hospital after the discharge, Unconfirmed reports say she was admitted to hospital on a Gynecological complaint.
