The Dambulla Eonomic Centre notes a slash in vegetable prices as result of the excess supply of vegetables from Jaffna.
Our correspondent said that prices of some vegetables including Beetroot, Green chillies, Potatoes, Onions, Manioc, Cabbage, Carrots at the Dambulla Economic Centre will be reduced.
The Dambulla Economic Centre said that, thereby, a 50% reduction of the vegetable prices could be seen. Traders suggest that the prices may not increase in the future but are likely to be further reduced.
