It has been reported that Sarath Fonseka will be nominated as the Member Parliament by the UNP as the replacement to Late Mr M K A D S Gunawardana.
It is also being reported that he will be taking his oaths on 9th of February. His present title in effect gives him the powers of a virtually a cabinet minister & if appointed as a MP he will have his short term aspirations fulfilled.
