Back in Business

From The Sunday Leader
Guess who is back in business these days? It’s none other than the one time monitoring angel of all that was external in the former regime, Sour-gin. Reports reaching Colombo is that Sour-gin has recommenced business activities and this time around from My-three’s hometown in the Parakarama Land. The former blue eyed boy of Ma-hinder who turned truant and joined the Yahapalanaya lot promising to spill the beans about the former Royals, it is learnt, has decided to try his hand in a rice mill in Parakramna Land with the blessings of the First Citizen’s sibling who is engaged in the rice business. Hmm.

Begging Bowl
The chair at the Hill-ton, who not so long ago acted high and mighty and refused to step down from the post, following a request by Ra-kneel, has met him recently. This time around the lady at the chair has told Ra-kneel that she would step down gracefully and pleaded with the premier one to grant her time till March to make way for the new chair to assume duties at Hill-ton. The first phase of the refurbishment of the Hill-ton is to be completed by next month when the chairs are to change. Changing times or what, eh?

Jammed!
Officials at the Welikada abode are expected to put in place mobile phone jammers within the premises after many VIPs have started to become residents of the house behind bars. The phone jammers are being seriously considered it is learnt after a mobile phone believed to have been used by VIP inmates was found on the ground near Yo-shitter’s cell. It is no secret that many VIPs, when housed at the Welikada abode, are provided with special facilities that usually elude any other ordinary citizen serving sentences for much lesser crimes. However, once the jammers are set in place, even the VIPs while residing at the Welikada abode will find it difficult to freely chat with anyone they please. So there.

Still Banned
The infamous son of Merv the Perv, who was banned from entering night clubs in the country, last week tried for the third time to get the ban lifted. When the Junior Perv’s last case was taken up for hearing in court, he pushed for a request to get the ban imposed on him from entering night clubs lifted. However, the prompt response from the court was that there was not going to be any lifting of the ban until the case is over. It was almost two years ago that the Junior made it once again to the limelight by assualting a couple from Old Blighty at the Blues club in Bamba. Hik.
