Police complaint against fact finding mission

The Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya had lodged a complaint with the Slave Island Police, claiming a group of United National Party (UNP) members had forcibly entered the SLPA building at No. 15, Morgan Street in Slave Island today.
A group of UNP parliamentarians visited the SLPA Security Training Institute at Slave Island on a fact finding mission. It was also reported the MPs were attacked by a mob at the premises.
Lodging the complaint Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya Senior Vice President Sumith Rohana said the President of SLPA Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya Udeni Kaluthanthri was also among the MPs who entered the premises forcibly.
Mr. Rohana also said a gate was damaged by the group.
