Jagath Balapatabendi behind conspiracy to summon Mahinda!

From LankaNewsWeb
The person behind the conspiracy to conceal the massive financial fraud charges against former president Mahinda Rajapaksa by summoning him before the bribery or corruption investigation commission on the 24th, ostensibly to record a statement, is none other than chairman of the commission, retired Supreme Court judge Jagath Balapatabendi, who was appointed to the position by Rajapaksa himself.
Balapatabendi is exceedingly loyal to Rajapaksa. Since his time as a SC judge he has been notorious as a person who had tarnished the positions held by him. He is also a person who had plotted with his brother-in-law, former chief justice Asoka Silva, to unjustly expel Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake from the position of chief justice. He is a judge who had used the bribery commission’s powers to level false charges against the now retired CJ Bandaranayake that she had not declared her assets and liabilities, and promoted the Rajapaksas.
Bidding his time until the commission’s executive power holder, director general Dilrukshi Dias, went overseas, Balapatabendi had got his juniors to carry out this conspiracy, it has now been established. The DG of the commission is in Singapore on official duty since last weekend and is due back tonight (21). In the meantime, commission chairman Balapatabendi has chosen the time and launched the conspiracy to save his master.
