Common candidate Maithripala Sirisena's final campaigning rally was held at Central Colombo last evening (05) and among those who were present at the event was Iranganie de Silva, the wife of minister Nimal Siripala de Silva.
Mrs. de Silva, who had arrived at the area reserved for the parking of vehicles with her driver, had remained until all speeches had ended.
Although several opposition politicians had urged her to come to the podium instead, Mrs. de Silva has kindly declined, saying that it would inconvenience her husband, as he is a government minister.
