SLC is in talks with Jonty Rhodes, the former South Africa
batsman and current Mumbai Indians fielding coach, to work with the Sri Lankan
team for a ten-day stint in the lead-up to the home series against Pakistan in
June.
"Jonty has given us an offer and we hoping to talk to
him and finalise the deal," an SLC interim committee source said. "We
have asked him for a program and how he plans to get on with the
coaching."
Rhodes will also coach the coaches apart from the national
cricketers on the latest techniques of fielding.
