The security provided to common candidate Maithripala Sirisena has been reduced from this morning.
The Law and Order Ministry and the DIG of the Polonnaruwa District have informed the Polonnaruwa Police to reduce the number of police personnel assigned to Sirisena.
Police Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said today that the security personnel have been removed from this morning and that Sirisena would be provided with security assigned to normal parliamentarians.
