Former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa has conducted a pooja for God Ranwala seeking his blessings for Mahinda Rajapaksa to become the prime minister.
Organizer of this offering was another UPFA candidate Upali Gunaratne.
The devale dedicated to God Ranwala is situated at Puwakpitiya in Avissawella.
