A program to distribute motor cycles to all government members of Provincial Councils is being carried out at present. Thousands of brand new motorbikes have been parked at Buddhadasa Stadium at Pelawatta, Battramulla and members of Provincial Councils that represent the government arrived in vehices of pradeshiya sabhas yesterday (16th) and took away motorcycles.
The program is being carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development to win over members who are frustrated with Rajapaksa's and made them work for the presidential election campaign of Mr. Rajapaksa.
