Samanali Fonseka with Next Generation Special Media Conference - Attempt to blame artists on Kurunegala attack? (video)

The group of artists, New Generation, which came under attack in Kumbukgete, Kurunegala on Monday (29) says the government seems to be engaged in an attempt to blame the artists for the incident in Kurunegala.

The group says the deliberate delay in taking action to arrest the personnel involved in the attack on a group of artists indicates this fact.

Members of the organization made this accusation yesterday (30) at a media briefing held at the Solis reception hall in Kotte. 

The artists have further charged that though the event was held with the permission of the police, attempts were made to divert the responsibility of the attack elsewhere by claiming the event had been held without police permission.
