Maithri going to hand over his SLFP leadership to the thieves and step down

Reports reaching Lanka News Web confirms that the current leader of the SLFP president Maithripala Sirisena is going to step down from his leadership. The president is going to make a special announcement on the 13th following the nominations.

The reports further confirm following the resignation the president is going to be an independent person.

However president Maithripala following the nominations to the former resident Mahinda Rajapaksa and his clan has so far not given any valid statements to generalize his decision. Due to his conduct the bilateral relationships and the goodwill Sri Lanka made following the January elections has been tampered. International political analysts say the outcome of this breakdown would be visible to Sri Lanka during the UNHRC session in Geneva in this coming September.
