Maj. Gen. Mahesh Senanayake and Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana, aides to former army commander, General Sarath Fonseka, returned to Sri Lanka yesterday.
The two senior army officers fled the country following developments after the 2010 presidential election when Fonseka lost to Mahinda Rajapaksa at the poll.
They were welcomed by military officials on arrival at the BIA early yesterday.
