Mr. Rajitha Senaratna, a powerful Minister of ‘yahapalana’ government, has refrained from appearing before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption for the tenth time.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has summoned Minister Senaratna on moves he is said to have committed while he was a minister of the previous regime.
Minister Senaratna had been summoned to Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on several occasions but he had avoided going to the Commission saying he had to participate in a discussion or attend a ceremony with a powerful person in the government.
The officials of the Bribery Commission say they are unable to take any action as Mr. Rajitha Senaratna is a powerful minister in the government.
