Upul Jayasuriya, president, Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has been appointed chairman of the Board of Investments (BOI) of Sri Lanka.
Jayasuriya served as the first legal advisor of the Greater Colombo Economic Commission (present BOI) in 1978 while serving the Attorney General's Department as a State Counsel.
He studied at Royal College, Colombo. He joined the Bar in 1976.
